We are a student group from 4th of Human Biology at the University Pompeu Fabra, and in this website we will expose our bioinformatics project.

The aim of this project is the research of selenoproteins in the genome of Vipera berus. In order to carry out the analysis of the genome, we designed a program that automates everything from tBLASTn to obtain the t-coffee and to determine the presence of SECIs elements. This project will better understand the phylogenetic relationships between species and evolution and fuction of this proteins family.
