We would like to thank to all those people who helped us in the realization of this project and/or introduced us into the world of Bioinformatics.

First of all, we want acknowledge to our tutor Juan Carlos Entizne for his help and advice at all times, and for his suport during the realization of the project. Also, we thank to the rest of the tutors of the 3rd group for the resolution of doubts during the first practical classes, specially to Dídac Santesmasses.

Moreover, we are grateful to the diferent professors of the course for the theoretical basis needed for the project. To Robert Castelo and Cedric Notredame for teaching us the Linux bases, essential to be able to initiate this project; to Toni Gabaldón for his introduction to web page elaboration; and stand out the lectures from professor Roderic Guigó, who iniciated us to the world of Selenoproteins.

We also want to mention our classmates for their suport, ideas and contributions given in a selflessly manner, specially to María Touceda, for helping us to decide the criteria for the SECIs prediction.
