The Pinta Island tortoise (Chelonoidis abingdonii) is a species of Galápagos tortoise native to Ecuador's Pinta Island that is most likely extinct. Its last organism was known as Lonesome George.

About us

We are a group of students of Pompeu Fabra University. We have worked in memory of Lonesome George, who was the last one of his species. We are students of the degree in Human Biology, and this project is part of the Bioinformatics subject. We are Pau Forte, Victor Herrera, Xavier Marimon and Ana Yagüe.
