Abstract
The aim of the study is to identify emptied selenoproteoma primate Colobus angolensis . To do bioinformatics tools were used , including BLAST programs , and Exonerate Tcoffee . We have also consulted various databases such as UniProt and SelenoDB . It obtained the genome of our species , to proceed to realize the objective of the work: to compare the genome of Colobus angolensis homology with the genome of Homo sapiens , as human selenoproteins are already recorded . Selenoproteins are a group of protein that contains the amino acid selenocysteine ( Sec ) in its sequence. The ESA is an analog of cysteine , but was replaced in the first characteristic sulfur atom of Cys a selenium atom . Sec are encoded by the UGA codon and indicate the completion of the translation.
