Conclusion

Our study provides a first insight in the Latimeria chalumae selenoproteome. Further studies are needed to complete protein sequences as well as in vitro analysis to show the expression of all those annotated selenoproteins.

We also have to say that behind all this results there are long hours of hard work that considerably increased our knowledge and computational skills. We have also learned the importance of new technologies to analyse big sets of data and how to interpret them.
